Power Shifts with Purpose

The Bezos Family Foundation joined Creative Reaction Lab (CRXLAB) in developing opportunities for creative action. In collaboration through the Students Rebuild program and multiple CRXLAB Youth programs, we have taken a global equity initiative that prioritizes the artistry, activism, and imaginations of young people.

Students Rebuild

CRXLAB worked with Bezos Family Foundation on Students Rebuild, a ready-made adventure in global learning for K-12 students that calls on their thinking, creativity, and compassion. Part lesson in global citizenship, part art project, it's a whole student approach to change the whole world.

Seeds of Power Fellowship Program Grant Distribution

CRXLAB’s 2021-2022 Seeds of Power (SOP) Fellows, a cohort of X Black and Latinx Youth, were provided with $200k in funding from the Bezos Family Foundation to re-distribute as grants. These grants were distributed to 10 Youth arts organizations across the country. Each organization was selected by a sub-cohort of SOP fellows following a rigorous research process.

Artwork for Equity “Educational Equity” Campaign

In 2021-2022, Bezos Family Foundation helped to fund CRXLAB’s Artwork for Equity program, which facilitated and supported the creation of activist artworks by 9 Black and Latinx artists across the country. The campaign focused on the topic of Educational Equity and produced 14 digital artworks.

Youth Creative Leadership Fund (YCLF) Funding

Bezos Family Foundation provided funding for CRXLAB’s Youth program Youth Creative Leadership Fund (YCLF). Through this program, hundreds of thousands in microgrants were distributed to Black and Latinx Youth creatives across the US and US territories.

Redesigning Education for Racial Equity and Social Healing (REFRESH) Funding

In-part due to the funding of Bezos Family Foundation, CRXLAB was able to continue work in the Education Equity space with our program Redesigning Education for Racial Equity and Social Healing (REFRESH). X students were impacted via CRXLAB trained educators.
